The View of DC is pleased to welcome the general public with free admission to experience the Observation Deck for yourself. Please note: Each visitor to the Observatory will need to present a valid form of identification for admission.

Yes! All visitors are welcome during viewing hours with a valid form of photo identification.

Acceptable Forms of ID include: Driver License, Military ID, Passport or MVA Issued ID Card (for guests 16 and over)

All admission is complimentary.

Yes children are welcome and strollers are allowed. Minors under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or over.

Bottled water is permitted. All other food and beverages are prohibited within the space, outside of private events.

Advance notice of large groups is strongly encouraged and appreciated so that we may accommodate your needs the best way possible. Please email visitors@theviewofdc.com 10 days in advance of your planned visit.

The following items are prohibited within The View of DC:

  • Outside food and beverage, with the exception of bottled water
  • Animals, with the exception of service animals (Certification ID must be presented and a service vest properly worn)
  • Luggage
  • Professional photography and video equipment, including tripods and monopods
  • Illegal substances
  • Weapons
  • Smoking and vaping is also prohibited on the premises
